Larson-Windows

Larson-WindowsLarson Windows is a Brookings, South Dakota-based company with more than six decades of experience in the window manufacturing business. They supply specialty storm windows that are installed inside and outside of the home, unlike other brands that only provide storm-proofing for the inside. Notably, Larson Windows was the first company in the home improvement industry to utilize the same weatherstripping used in refrigerators. In 2000, they introduced more product innovations, including their patented Screen Away Storm technology. Due to its undying commitment, Larson Manufacturing received the Better Business Bureau Integrity Award in 2007.

Larson Windows categorizes its storm windows into Bronze Series, Silver Series, and Gold Series. Standard in all these windows is trusted technologies like marine glazing, high-temperature aluminum mainframes, and heavy-duty metal handles. The windows have glass layers filled with air space inside, preventing cold and warm air from escaping freely outside. The airtight seal prevents dust and dirt from entering the home, and this also makes the windows very easy to maintain.

The Gold Series includes all the five window models mentioned and four basic colors, which are white, antique white, brown, and champagne. These windows utilize double weatherstripping for the inside and outside sash, preventing issues caused by air infiltration and water leakage. The high-tempered T-6 aluminum master frame provides the sturdy construction, which is more empowered by interlocking the top and bottom sash. Other features include the tubular frame design, pocketed jambs and sills, butt-joint corners, and marine glazing for thermal efficiency.

On the other hand, the Silver Series includes only three models and white and brown colors. Choosing windows belonging to this series has several obvious advantages. First, the window sash can be easily cleaned because of the notched master frame. The riv-cap miters ensure that the corners are secure, and the woodpile weatherstripping provides the needed barrier for heat and air. Also, there is a bar in the center that adds stability to the windows, and there are interlocking sashes for added strength. Like the Gold Series, these ones have pre-punched holes and color-coordinated installation screws.

The Bronze Series has some downgraded features, but windows in this category are still performers when it comes to providing thermal efficiency and durability. Woodpile weatherstripping is used, and the notched master frame still enables the sashes to be moved freely for easier cleaning. There is an expander at the bottom to make the sills even, and like the first two categories, these windows are pre-punched with holes and have color-matched screws for hassle-free installation.

All Larson Windows products are provided with a limited lifetime warranty, depending on the model, whether the window belongs to the ventilating, security, Screen Away, of full view model. All windows comply with the standards set by the AAMA for quality construction and performance. The good point is, whether it is a basic or a premium window, customers are guaranteed to have products with appeal and protective qualities.
